While a first-year student at the Intergalactic Empire’s legendary Wizard Scout Academy, Cadet Richard Shepard is teamed with Nickelo, a one-of-a-kind, advanced prototype battle computer. Working together, they excel at the mix of technology and psionic abilities which make wizard scouts the Empire’s most elite soldiers.
When war breaks out with the Crosoian Federation, Richard is sent by an entity known only as ‘the One’ to a magic dimension to help the beautiful elf priestess Shandria defeat a demon and its army of undead. Trained at the academy to fight against armored vehicles, phase beams, and attacking starships, Richard quickly finds himself in unfamiliar territory. Regardless, with the fate of two galaxies riding in the balance, he must somehow use his wizard scout skills and the technology of his newly acquired battle suit to overcome a host of dragons, magic-using demons, trolls, zombies, and ghouls.
With the aid of his battle computer and the magic of an elf priestess for support, Richard is determined to find a way to turn the odds in his favor and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat or die in the attempt.
