Dave is just a regular guy, working in Human Resources, when he is approached by Derrick to help create a new consulting firm. While Dave is considering this life changing career choice, he is drawn into the complicated world of spying on his potential new partner, which could have major political and life saving ramifications. The novel, as told by Dave, goes back and forth between the middle of the story and how it all began.
