When Elizabeth Bennet meets a handsome gentleman who is visiting the area she cannot believe the great good luck she has when he chooses her, over all of the ladies in the area including her beautiful older sister Jane, to bestow his attentions upon. The more she learns of him and his grand estate of Pemberly, the stronger her feelings become. They quickly become engaged, helped along by meddling family members but when a precipitous announcement is sent to the London papers by her overzealous mother can their budding affections survive the ensuing chaos?
