Growing Up Between Stops on the A-train

Blessed with a beautiful singing voice but cursed in nearly every other way, Jenn must overcome much in her childhood in Colorado, including a type 1 diabetes diagnosis and stepparents who hate her, before leaving home at 17 years old and taking a one-way trip to New York City to prove everyone wrong. However, clawing her way to the top of the music industry is not without some poor life choices, regret, and even a young marriage and divorce before things finally turn around. At the top of her game–big stars, hit songs, health, and mental Zen–she converts to a new faith and meets “the one” who promises his eternal love. But after several years of sacrificing everything for a committed marriage, Jenn’s husband abruptly leaves her for another woman just twelve days before the adoption of their second child. At rock bottom, Jenn must tap the survival spirit she’s developed over a lifetime of hard knocks to rise above everything and become her best self in the face of her worst nightmare.
