An Ancient Prophecy. A Dark Secret. A Cursed Heir.
It is said that when war threatens the kingdom, one individual will be selected by prophecy to lead the people out of the land of darkness and reclaim the freedom which has been stolen.
Since Ajeya was banished to the wilderness as a cursed child, her mother has been keeping an extra vigil – after a vision revealed that her daughter is a target stalked by evil and will grow up under the constant threat of death.
Finding salvation in the clans, everyone can see that she carries rare abilities; and as she grows in stature—an uncanny fighting aptitude. As the years roll by and war threatens the kingdoms, Ajeya is the only hope of salvation for her people.
The problem is, Ajeya is the only one who doesn’t believe in her own divinity. So when destiny spreads its arms and lands on her borrowed doorstep, her mother has no choice but to reveal her secret, plunging her daughter into further danger.
That Ajeya is the child of prophecy and the Task she carries will save the kingdom.
But can Ajeya do what is expected?
