We Ain’t Supposed To Love Like That

Kalilape is a best selling author. Writing has been a huge part of her life since she was a young girl, but once you become a married woman, you’re supposed to put “childish” things away. When Kalilape puts her career over her husband, Darnell, he immediately feels emasculated, and trying to crawl out of his wife’s shadow is nearly impossible.

Sixteen years into her marriage, Kalilape realizes she isn’t happy, but married a microwaved, watered down version of her first and only true love from high school, Major. After several poor decisions on Darnell’s part and when fate intervenes, Major blows back into Kalilape’s life, knocking up tumbleweeds from the past.

In a decision that Kalilape should be unsure of, there is no choice when it comes to her happiness and her image. She chose her image once over her marriage, and she won’t do it again with Major, who isn’t all squeaky clean either.
Major is living a double life that brings a natural disaster into their lives, named Jade. Jade is Major’s girlfriend, and when she notices something isn’t right with her man, she becomes inspector gadget to find out, but very often, the one who’s doing the spying, needs to be spied upon too.

Jade’s life is as messy as it comes. The secret she’s hiding trumps the interweaved relationships of these four people, and no one will ever see it coming.

In most fairly tales, the couple runs off and live happily ever after, but this ain’t no fairy tale, and when you’re not supposed to love the one you’re loving, there is no telling what the outcome will be!
