The Glass Affair

It’s the summer of 1995 and Blackjack Investigators is about to welcome the newest private eye to its staff in Atlanta, Ga.

When Randi Glass walks through the office door for the first time, she triggers a touch of suspicion in veteran private investigator Frank Knott, a tough, no-nonsense former U.S. Marine who thought he had seen it all.

Frank doesn’t entertain matters on a gray scale; he sees everything in black and white, and he has no doubt that Randi is short on experience and has a lot to learn about the private eye business.

Frank used to joke that “Danger” was his middle name, but he stopped doing that when danger refused to take a day off and let him catch his breath.

From the explosive beginning of this fourth novel in the series, Frank chases leads on murder, prostitution and organized crime through Georgia and into Tennessee. He calls on an assortment of past contacts to help him root out the vengeful characters that want to snuff out everything he believes in.

Frank is the kind of guy you want on your side when you’ve got troubles, provided you are on the right side of the law. But when mob hitmen carry out a contract close to home, Frank gives up on trying to run a legitimate agency and reaches for his .45, and he’s soon on the trail of a vicious ex-con out for revenge.

Fans of the noir mystery novels won’t be surprised at what happens when Frank comes face to face with the criminals he’s after.

And they will understand when the bodies start piling up.
