The Long Red Night

The Portland Police reported that a serial killer is at large and indentified them as The Ghost Killer.

When Bernice Mackall is found murdered, and her boyfriend, Joshua Cook, ends up missing, it sets an unsettling aura in the once peaceful community of Beaverton. Detective Jake Hall is an objective man who lives by a personal code of conduct and to strictly follow the orders by his commanding officers. He is assigned the investigation of the murder but is quickly caught in a power struggle between his past and his morality. When a well-respected pastor of the community, Randy Shaw, is put under the radar, Detective Hall is forced to risk the legitimacy of Shaw’s reputation, even if it reveals his own dark secrets. All the while a high school student, Dana Edwards, is struggling to maintain a solid relationship with her friends and acknowledge the fact that a serial killer is at large. When she opens up to her English teacher, Mr. Harrison, it only raises her suspicion about the murder, as he alludes to who was responsible for Bernice’s death. Fearful of this assumption, Dana is forced to seek help from Detective Hall, who is challenged by his authority, Captain Allen Ridley, and how the investigation is more than expected. Desperate, Hall is willing to help Dana but is protective of her as the murderer, identified as The Ghost Killer, only targets young women. It isn’t long until Hall discovers a shocking revelation and leads Dana to be swept into the murder case itself. Is Dana the key to solving the case? Or will Detective Hall make the ultimate sacrifice to know the truth?
