Former New Orleans homicide detective Zack Nelson has no time away from his job. When people are dying in a retirement center, he and Mario DeLuca, a fellow detective, have no choice but to investigate. After removing the third body, Zack suspects the cause of death was not from an illness—it was murder.
However, while they attempt to solve the case, they understand that someone at the retirement center isn’t reliable. It appears the most significant danger may be from Dr. Walter Ross. The doctor’s goal is to ensure the rooms are always filled and payments keep coming in for his family company, yet Zack is bewildered but can’t dismiss him as a possible killer.
